Transition Words To Hook Readers

Transition Words To Hook Your ReadersT

Transitions make writing readable, smoother and makes the reader want to read till the end.

What are transitions?

They are words that are usually placed at the start of a sentence that help the reader transition or move from one subject to the other.

Why should you use transition words?

Because they direct your reader to where your thoughts are going.

Here’s a list of transition words that you can use in your blog post:

  • Above all
  • Accordingly
  • Actually
  • Afterwards
  • All things considered
  • Also
  • And
  • Another
  • Apart from
  • Arguably
  • As a consequence
  • As a matter of fact
  • As a result
  • As it were
  • At any rate
  • At the same time
  • At this point
  • Basically
  • Be that as it may
  • Because
  • Besides
  • By
  • By and large
  • By contrast
  • By the same token
  • Consequently
  • Essentially
  • Even so
  • Finally
  • First
  • First and foremost
  • For example
  • For instance
  • For this reason
  • From here on
  • Furthermore
  • However
  • In addition
  • In any case
  • In conclusion
  • In contrast
  • In fact
  • In my opinion
  • In other words
  • In the first place
  • In the meantime
  • In the same way
  • Incidentally
  • Indeed
  • Ironically
  • It follows
  • Later
  • Likewise
  • Meanwhile
  • Moreover
  • Nevertheless
  • Next
  • No doubt
  • Of course
  • On the other hand
  • Or
  • Otherwise
  • Paradoxically
  • Presently
  • Presumably
  • Regrettably
  • Second
  • Similarly
  • So
  • Still
  • Strangely enough
  • Then
  • Therefore
  • Third
  • Too
  • Ultimately
  • While
