How to disclose that you are using affiliate links on your blog:

You could set up a disclosure page on your blog and leave a link to it in your blog post above the affiliate links.

To set up a disclosure policy on your blog visit

Start by writing a few sentences to disclose that the post is sponsored or contains affiliate links and add more information at the end of the post to explain what that means for your reader.

Try your best to keep this as short as possible as your first paragraph should introduce your reader to the product and review, not the explanation of affiliate links.

Let your reader know if you received a product from a brand in exchange for an honest review on your blog or if a brand paid for you to review a restaurant or any other service.

Let them know if you’ve been compensated for the post or if it contains affiliate links and they click the link then you’ll earn a percentage of the purchase.

E.g. Review of Are You an Elephant?

I received a free copy of Are You an Elephant? By Lindsay Nell in exchange for an honest review of her book. This is a sponsored post and contains affiliate links.

Are you an elephant? Is a fun and sweet children’s book that encourages children to ask questions and rationalize with the main character, Andy, as she makes her way through a zoo to find an elephant. Andy has never seen an elephant before, but she may find one with the help of some animal friends along the way.

This book is perfect for children between the ages of 2 and 6. The vibrant hand drawn images were completed from start to finish by Lindsay Nell, herself.

Are you an elephant is available in E-Book and Paperback.
