Just Be Yourself and Your Blog Will Benefit

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you! – Dr. Seuss.

The words I quoted by Dr. Seuss definitely apply to bloggers like us. Our blogs are our space to be ourselves, share our world and express our views. Being or bringing our authentic selves across may take some time as we develop our blogging style over time.

The best way to gain and maintain followers is by making yourself accessible to your reader. Tell personal stories and share photographs that allow your reader to become part of your world and daily life. Share your struggles and triumphs with your reader and tell them what you learnt from the experience.

Write original content and post sponsored content sparingly, especially if you don’t believe in the content wholeheartedly.

Don’t constantly compare yourself to other bloggers. You are amazing! If you feel the Green Eyed Monster rear its ugly head acknowledge it, but also take a moment to realize how far your blog has come. There will always be someone more successful or creative than you, but they aren’t on your journey.

Get to know yourself and what you have to offer your readers.

Write about what you know or what you are passionate about.

Remember to give thanks to your readers and those who helped you along the way.
